Had a cracking time sampling the evening grub at Portmann, with a pizza that knocked my socks off! Plus, the location was ace—right by Rugby Park after our charity cycle. The staff made it all seamless and even found a safe spot for our bikes. What a score!
There was a bit of a dodgy smell in the room—like vinegar, which didn’t sit well. I noticed the door frame looked a bit battered. Still, it’s all part of the Kilmarnock charm.

location was spot on for my work, right next to the train station so that was a major plus. the staff was chill and friendly and even though i left at 9pm, the vibe of the place seemed cozy. my room was decent for 1 night, just the basics and comfy enough for a solo traveler like me. snacks like tea and biscuits were a nice touch too.
only issues were that there was no wifi in my room, which was a bummer. also, the double room had a shared bathroom, which i didn't see coming.

The location's proximity to the train station makes coming and going a breeze, ideal for travelers. Basic snacks like tea and biscuits provided in the room add a personal touch to the stay.
Unfortunately, the noise levels from the pub below can be a real nuisance, keeping guests up late into the night. Cleaning standards leave much to be desired, with dirty linens and cobwebs in the light fittings—not exactly what you'd expect during your stay. the room itself is cramped and basic, lacking the comfort and modern touches that would make for an enjoyable experience.

Kids loved the playground outside. The noisy bar made it hard to sleep until late. Good food, especially the pizza.

We had a blast celebrating Kilmarnock's big win, and the staff were so great, even helping carry our suitcase. The cozy garden and sun terrace were perfect for winding down after the game. Just a heads-up, there was no WiFi in our room, but we still had a fantastic time! 😊

Had an amazing time with friends! We visited the nearby beach and the local museum. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, and the amenities were just right for our needs. Definitely recommending this spot for a fun getaway!
We did have a bit of noise from the hallway at night, which was a bit annoying.

The family room was conveniently located in the city center, making it easy to access local attractions. the bedding was unclean, and the shower lacked sufficient pressure, making it uncomfortable to use. It was disappointing to find a broken sink tap and an unsafe extension cable across the floor. While there were no dining options offered during my stay, I appreciated the central location of the hotel.
